Ensiferum to release “One Man Army” on February 24th 2015

Finland’s favorite folk metal collective and recent Metal Blade signees, Ensiferum, will unleash their sixth studio album on February 24th, 2015. Titled “One Man Army”, the predominantly analog-recorded offering was tracked between September and November of this year with award-winning producer Anssi Kippo (Children Of Bodom, Impaled Nazarene, Entwine etc.) at Astia-Studios in Lappeenranta, Finland.

Ensiferum to release new album this Fall

Finland’s Ensiferum have spent the summer of 2014 on tour through Europe, and will also perform in Japan this winter. In the midst of bringing their melodic folk-infused attack to stages worldwide, the band has been crafting songs for their sixth studio album (their Metal Blade Records debut), and the writing process is nearing completion. They plan to record the new album in September and October of this year with producer Anssi Kippo at Astia Studio in Finland. The release date is tentatively scheduled for early 2015.

Les Friction’s song “Louder Than Words” is featured in the new Disney film trailer for “Oz the Great and Powerful”, and will debut during the Superbowl!!

The first 100 Les Friction Fans who post on the Les Friction Facebook page AFTER they hear the song and mention hearing Les Friction’s “Louder Than Words”in the Oz Trailer during the Superbowl will receive a free download of the newest track in the next two weeks.

Ensiferum - Unsung Heroes

Certainly, this Finnish band causes much talking around its name with every new release. They are one of the top acts of their genre and for that reason, they have a lot of followers and many more rivals. I postponed presenting this album a little to see the fans’ reactions and how the majority of the press would react on the new album.

ReinXeed - Welcome to the Theatre

What started out as a personal project by the young and unknown songwriter/vocalist/producer/ multi-instrumentalist Tommy Johansson then… turned out to be a consistent euro power metal band that has released 5 albums since 2008 when the debut was out! That’s pretty impressive don’t you think? Especially, if we keep in mind that Tommy has played in three other bands (PelleK, Golden Resurrection, Charlie Shred) except for ReinXeed and he has recorded and produced quite a few albums during the last five years… three of them will be out later in May. Undoubtedly, this young Swedish is a very talented guy by any means.
