Starting out in 2009 by Chris Nugent in Guildford, UK, White Pigeon soon took shape by adding the drummer Joe Yoshida, the guitarist Jon Antony, the bassist Eoghan Logue and the charming twin vocalists Nathalia and Natascha Sohl on its ranks. Natascha had previous music experience as she had released various singles and two full-length albums in the past. Anyhow, White Pigeon are moving around Chris, as he is the mastermind and the songwriter.

Sunn ■]]], are kinda remind me of Sun 0))) (!!), or σανό/sano (hay in English), but what’s the case here anyway? Sunn ■]]] should not be related to Sun 0))). How great a pick for a name. But what about the music? Is it also sorta identical to Sun 0)))? Well, they may be on the same genre, drone/doom/noise/shit whatever you like, but Sunn ■]]] are even worse than Sun 0)))!! Honestly, you must be really gifted to achieve such a goal! Hurray!

Tankard, return after the slight misstep that was “Vol(l)ume 14”, which was an album far more tame and less worthy than what the band had lately accustomed us with. “A Girl Called Cerveza” seems to fit the canon of the bands discography, way better. Maybe it’s the fact that the album flows, much better (like beer - haha) or that it leaves a rather pleasant aftertaste (just like beer again! haha) on the pallet.
