Gatekeeper signs to Cruz Del Sur Music and announces debut album “East of Sun”

Cruz Del Sur Music is proud to announce the signing of Canadian epic metal force Gatekeeper.

The band’s first full-length, “East of Sun”, will be released this April worldwide on compact disc (including 2 bonus songs), vinyl and digital.

Originally formed in 2009 as a solo project by guitarist Geoff Blackwell, Gatekeeper has assembled an impressive array of EPs and splits, including an appearance on Metal Blade’s “Metal Massacre XIV”, where they contributed the song “Bell of Tarantia”. Their signing to Cruz Del Sur will mark a new, exciting era for the band.

Shores Of Null to release new studio album “Black Drapes for Tomorrow” on April 14th 2017

Rome-based metal band Shores Of Null have announced their second album, “Black Drapes for Tomorrow”, which will be released via Candlelight / Spinefarm Records on April 14th, 2017.

Following their highly acclaimed debut “Quiescence”, the gloom maestros are back with an album full of wistful-yet-powerful riffs, blackened aggression and epic melancholy-ridden vocals.

Produced by Marco Mastrobuono at Kick Recording Studio (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance), “Black Drapes for Tomorrow” is a profoundly dark outing both musically and lyrically, forging a seamless and overflowing blend of genres into a boiling pot of multi-layered sounds.

Reflection to release new studio album “Bleed Babylon Bleed” on April 7th 2017

Pitch Black Records is thrilled to announce its 50th album release with the signing of legendary Greek Epic/Doom Metal act Reflection!

Reflection, the driving force of Hellenic Epic/Doom Metal, will be celebrating their 25th anniversary next year and they are now back, with their fourth album, “Bleed Babylon Bleed”! It’s been eight years since the band’s last offering, making this an eagerly awaited release; and with a new vocalist in their ranks this becomes an even more anticipated release!

Isole - The Calm Hunter

It’s already been one decade since Isole appeared on the doom metal scene. And during those 10 years they managed to gain the respect of the press and fans and release 6 full-lengths albums, if we also count the new one “The Calm Hunter”. Not bad at all… on the contrary!

Anguish - Mountain

Anguish returns with their sophomore release, two years after their debut album “Through the Archdemon’s Head”. Those who fancy traditional doom metal music have already checked them … even though these Swedes are not into trad doom metal in the actual term of the word. They surely follow the Candlemass, Solitude Aeternus & St. Vitus path, but they go astray at the doom-death side of this genre due to their “harsh” vocals. Not brutal or death screams… but just to have an idea they may somewhat remind you of the late Quorthon.

Isole to release “The Calm Hunter” on November 28th 2014

Swedish masters of Epic Prog-Doom Metal Isole return with a new album! Their sixth full-length is entitled “The Calm Hunter” and will be released on November 28th, 2014 through Cyclone Empire.

The album was recorded and mixed in Studio Apocalypse by Jonas Lindström (assisted by the rest of the band) and mastered in Fascination Street Studios by Jens Bogren (Katatonia, Opeth, Kreator, Amon Amarth).

The cover artwork was created by renowned artist Travis Smith (Anathema, Bloodbath, Paradise Lost, Nevermore, Opeth).

Anguish to release “Mountain” on November 12th 2014

Aptly titled “Mountain”, the highly anticipated sophomore release from Sweden's Anguish will be unleashed November 12th, 2014 on Dark Descent Records. The follow-up to 2012's mammoth debut “Through the Archdemon's Head” sees the band expanding upon their oppressive brand of Doom Metal.

Compared to its predecessor, “Mountain” is stripped down, clocking in at 48 minutes across eight tracks of suffocating dread, yet the compositions are the band's most varied to date.

Pre-order “Mountain” here.
