Spikerot Records has announced the signing of the Swedish Grindcore unit Sickrecy, a brand new project consisting of members of Birdflesh, General Surgery, World in Ruins and Damned to Downfall. Extreme, fast and chaotic, Sickrecy masterfully conveys the old school spirit of the genre into their sound, injected with shots of Crust Punk, D-beat and Death Metal, so you know what to expect in terms of sheer anger, brute force, blasting speed and pounding frenzy.

Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Wanderer has completed work on their debut LP, “Liberation From A Brutalist Existence”, finalizing the album for release in June. Alongside the album’s track listing, cover art, preorders, and more, a video for the lead single “Contented” is now playing below.
 

Minnesota-based Blue Ox - formed by former members of Dead To Fall, Devilinside, Ambassador Gun, Coma Eternal, and more - has completed their crushing third album, “Holy Vore”, and is now preparing to unleash the record on April 2nd, 2021. Post-Metal/Doom Project Crawl Below will release new album “9 Mile Square” on February 12th, 2021.

“9 Mile Square” is a six-song LP of doom-infused post-metal focused on the history of Eastern Connecticut. The album was was mixed by Dave Kaminsky at Studio Wormwood, and mastered by Ryan Williams at Augmented Audio.

Los Angeles, California-based hardcore punk band Entry will release their debut full-length, “Detriment”, through Southern Lord Recordings on July 17th, 2020.
 

UK Thrashers Onslaught will release their long awaited new album “Generation Antichrist” on August 7th, 2020, via FM Records.

The album was mixed by Grammy Award winning producer Daniel Bergstrand (Behemoth, In Flames, Meshuggah, etc.) at Dugout Studios - Uppsala, Sweden and is the follow up to the critically acclaimed “VI”.
 

Italian Black Metal Hardcore act laCasta have revealed the details of their upcoming album, set for a release on February 28th, 2020, with powerhouse label Argonauta Records.

Titled In “Æternvm”, the band’s first full-length unites the darkest art in metal with the traditions of all that is extreme in a furious way: Bleak, dissonant and black-eyed sounds filled with rage and disgust.

Celebrating 40 years since the release of their debut single “Realities of War” in 1980, British hardcore punk band Discharge are surviving pioneers of the subgenre they invented; D-beat. Having had a worldwide influence on both extreme metal and punk with their uncompromising, raw sound over the last 40 years, Discharge’s political message is now relevant more than ever. Still performing globally in clubs and at festivals, the quintet are heralded as one of the godfathers of the political and anarcho punk scenes.

Southern Lord has issued the details of Wolfbrigade’s impending tenth full-length, “The Enemy: Reality”, now confirmed for release on November 8th, 2019.
