Emma Ruth Rundle’s latest single “Blooms of Oblivion” intimately reflects on an experience that was too big for her as a child - “Down at the methadone clinic we waited / hoping to take home your cure / The curdling cowards, the crackle of china / you say that it’s making you pure”, she sings. It’s been 17 years since Ainur thought to transform Tolkien’s masterpiece “The Silmarillion” into music. Each member of the band was lost in his own musical themes inspired by Tolkienian mythology. As if hypnotized, they outrageously composed themes for the main characters and started to imagine this huge concept work to which they still work on today.

Nytt Land signs worldwide deal with Napalm Records

Nordic folk and Ambient project Nytt Land from Russia has signed an official worldwide contract with Austrian rock and metal label Napalm Records!

The band’s style has been compared to Wardruna with added traditional throat singing and handmade traditional instruments such as the kravik-lyra and the tagelharpa. The band is inspired by the sounds of Siberian nature, and records have included live field-recordings of raven calls and forest sounds.

Tomberlin to release new EP “Projections” on October 16th 2020

Tomberlin, the Los Angeles via Louisville, KY artist, has announced a new EP titled “Projections” with a Busy Philipps-directed video for its lead single “Wasted”.

The EP, which was co-produced by Alex G (Alex Giannascoli) and band-mate Sam Acchione, continues the arc of her critically acclaimed 2018 debut, “At Weddings”.
