7.5
Three (3) seems to be the band’s lucky number. A three-year gap between each album release till “Framework”, which is their third number and their most mature and complete one in every part.

“Framework” summarizes all the previous works of the band and offers a fresh yet very refined piece of AOR, melodic rock, pop-rock and Westcoast music. The production is top-notch as always – they should give lessons on “how to achieve a great sound outcome” to all the AOR/melodic rockers out there. These guys never go off trail. Lars Säfsund sings his heart out – the hooklines are wonderful on almost every song… while Robert Sall (guitars, keys) and Herman Furin (drums) conclude the album in a very creative way.

If you fancy the band’s two previous works, then you’re gonna be left stunned by “Framework”. Yeap, there’s a background 80s “sweet feeling” which is present here and there but overall the album has a contemporary sound and it doesn’t become “retro” or “dated” at any point. Furthermore, it may be a bit harsh to pick any favorites from the album… but I guess anyone can make their own beloved-list out of 11 very strong and melodious tracks in general. Concluding, “Framework” is a charming, tuneful and artistic AOR/melodic rock album on the whole…
