Steel Panther
Live from Lexxi’s Mom’s Garage
Open E Records
2016
Boy, the reigning clown princes of the LA strip (clubs) are back and they‘re back in grand fashion in Lexxi’s Mom’s Garage! Playing some stripped down and acoustic versions of their best hits, plus a new tune, in front of 100 hott ladies! What’s not to like?! The best concept and possibly the best live album since the not so “Live and Dangerous”!
The band is on fire, “Party(ing) like Tomorrow is the End of the World”! “Fat Girl” (Thar She blows) from the debut gets “checked out” and it’s a ton of fun (isn’t it/she?). The dudes fuck up (intentionally) on “If You Really, Really Love Me”, which is pretty good fun too, but not as much fan as blowing your load at the hole in the wall that’s “Gloryhole”! Continuing with the sex-crazed theme and getting a super enthusiastic response by some of the ladies (hmmm…) “Bukkake Tears” is hard to see, but awesome to hear; I’m pretty sure that “The Burden of Being Wonderful” was written for me, but even if I wasn’t there, it’s as close to perfection as these guys will ever get! With even more “strings” and Stix moving over to the piano and hitting a couple of notes, banging them really hard, lige he does with the drums or the bitches. It’s almost fucking festive! The brand new “That’s When You Came In” in typical rather fashion, rips and rocks and is friggin bitchin’ and should find itself a place on the new Panther album and stream right into your girlfriend’s vagina. Another skit “Michael Don’t Know” introduces, the other “big” ballad, “Community Property”, which sounds almost like oral sex, performed on the hundred or so pussy-kittens in the crowd simultaneously… before yet another skit that praises the skillful hands of the trio of “string” girls that help the guys along, before they all burst into a rather jazzy and almost way to laid back version of “Death to all Butt metal”!
This live is glorious to listen to and even more bitchin’ to watch and I so wish I was there… during that particular “garage night”… fuck garage dayz man! This is da $H1T! Above and beyond Grading! Uber-Cool!!!
