“The World is Yours” is the debut album of In Search Of Sun, after they changed their name from Driven. In Search Of Sun is a fairly modern metal band. They mix metalcore, extreme, groove metal, heavy-thrash & melodic modern metal music in general. I guess bands like this one are rather popular in the UK at the moment. One can say that ISOS have been influenced by Avenged Sevenfold, 5FDP, Panic Cell, Stone Sour, Disturbed, Bullet for My Valentine and All That Remains among others.
The major characteristic of such bands is the punchy, heavy & powerful sound. ISOS have succeeded in all of the parts as the production is great in general. The album was produced by Phil Kinman (Tank, Killers) at MTR Studios and mastered by Harry Hess (Harem Scarem, Cancer Bats, Barenaked Ladies, The Flatliners, etc.) at HBomb Mastering.
Without adding anything new or groundbreakin’ to the genre, In Search Of Sun manages to present an all rounded, & rather enjoyable album. The fans of the aforementioned bands will appreciate it more and they will find various tracks to relish along the way…
