Rosa Infra - Change of Scenery

Rosa Infra is a Russian band from Moscow which was formed in 2006… and is presenting its debut album entitled “Change of Scenery” now. The band is probably focusing on the Russian rock/metal community as they sing in their native language. It’s true that the Russian rock/metal scene is growing bigger and bigger over the time and I happen to see lots of bands from Russia lately. Unluckily, all of them are singing in Russian… which I think is not such a good idea if they wanna become more known in Europe or in the US…

Rosa Infra’s music base is gothic rock/metal (influenced by acts such as: Type O Negative, Diary Of Dreams, Sentenced Paradise Lost, To/Die/For, Charon etc.) but they embellish it with various atmospheric, EBM, ambient, dark electro, industrial and a few extreme metal elements. The result is sort of interesting… as there’s a variety in the album… for more dark heavy ones to industrial, electro goth rock others. They do play well and they’re creating nice gloomy atmosphere in their songs… but the Russian lyrics didn’t help me enough to get into their music. Probably, they wanna make a name in their country’s music scene and in truth to be told Russia is a very big country… so I do not think they would need the European approval if they make it in Russia eventually.

They have a very good sound that would surely become better and better with each new release and they do have the potential to go further. If you’re into the Russia scene and like dark, gothic, rock, metal, electro, industrial music then check them out.
