This is the debut band of the Danish group. The distinctive feature here is the very young ages of the band’s members. The only exception is Lance King (ex-Balance of Power) on the microphone, who is an experienced musician and adds much to the whole record. The band plays modern heavy metal and does it quite well to be honest. The amalgam of Iron Maiden, meets Iced Earth meets Stratovarius is a very common to be honest, but the band here manages to differentiate its tracks by using many moods in each one. This means that the songs pass from acoustic intros to thunderous couples and dark bridges to power refrains etc. This is good because it makes the whole listening interesting.
The production is the usual as in every album of this style, clear with respect to the guitars. I’m personally fed up with the common and repeated heavy/power, but I have to confess that this one is good. My final grade is a bit higher because this is a debut album and the band is promising.
