Gene The Werewolf debuted a while ago with an EP and this is their third album. Their previous one enjoyed international release via Frontiers, but they must have done particularly bad, to be dropped.

In all reality this Pittsburgh quartet is mediocre when it comes to rocking and rolling and caught in a bit of hip-ster-ia. While they’re not terrible musically and they do have a bit of a bite – pun intended – their half-baked urban boogie rockers don’t really resonate strongly and don’t seem to have enough staying power.

Think of all those “rock” bands that Brit magazines presented as the “next” big thing and none really did do that much… it’s one of those cases… the only ones that would ever have a chance are happily without a contract and they’re two, one in the lands of Britannia and one down under!

Meh, I guess if you’re a “fan” the title track, “Boogeyman” and the “Best I Can” may not sound too bad, but… this is as mediocre as mediocre can get, without being bad…
