Faithsedge is a project led by singer & songwriter Giancarlo Floridia, rounded up by people like Stryper bassist Tim Gaines, Ace Frehley, Mr. Big drummer Matt Starr, former Dokken guitarist Alex De Rosso and keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Revolution Saints), who’s also handled the production.
The style aimed for is 80s hard rock, but both the production that’s a little cheap and sterile, the sameness of some opening riffs, as well as Floridia’s fuller voice that seems to strain a bit on the higher end of his range, make this a bit of a hit and miss affair with songs like “Jennifer” and “This is Everything”, as well as a couple of ballads, namely “Faith and Chris” and “Let You Breathe” working the best…
This album would love to have been something like say prime-time Europe and while intentions are honorable… it’s some way off both in terms of production as well as songwriting…
