Another Italian band that thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread and at least in the case of these Tourin based guys, they’re quite OK actually, without being “sensational” they manage a good – full sounding production and their heavy and melodic symphonic power metal in the vein of Kamelot, Dark Moor etc., seems to be achieving what it sets out to do for the most part.

Fabrizio Balliano, their singer and along with his guitar playing brother Riccardo one of the founders of the band, is actually not bad and only when he tries some really high notes in falsetto, tends to sound a bit weak, but overall seems to have enough sensibility as well as ability to keep himself from getting embarrassed. That being said, there’s ample room for improvement in his performances that if he manages to make better, it would truly benefit the band, making them almost first tier, as almost all of their songs tend to have enough flair and interesting ideas to propel them into something potentially much bigger.

There’s a lot of untapped promise in these guy and if they work on their strengths and further hone their craft and manage to make their production a bit more bombastic – improving the vocal mix in particular, they could really be a focal point of the Italian scene in the future… after a lot of so-so Italian bands in recent months, these guys feel like a breath of air, (I wouldn’t say too fresh) since they follow the footsteps of others… I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on them…
