Subtle Realms
Heavy Eddie Music
Eddie Brnabic is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, guitarist, songwriter & producer who has resided in LA over the last decade. Having played with several bands & produced and released various albums, two of them with Beggars Ball, he decided to go solo in 2010 when he released “Beatitude”. A year later he teamed up with The Cosmic Fellowship and after a two-year period they have come up with “Subtle Realms”.
“Subtle Realms” is a fully instrumental album which blends heavy rock/stoner, hard rock, psychedelic, space rock, rock, funky and a very few jazz/fusion elements. Sometimes it’s like listening to a hybrid of Hawkwind and Spiritual beggars with equal amounts of psychedelia by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The album was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Eddie Brnabic. The sound has a bit 70s “retro” feeling and it’s good overall.
This album is deep into the late 60s/early 70s heavy rock, space psychedelia. The guys may not have introduced anything new but they play from the heart and seem to fancy what they’re doing. They are honest and good musicians on the whole. If you like this kind of music then you can sample this record on the band’s official bandcamp page here and judge on your own. Nevertheless, “Subtle Realms” is a decent album…
