Haven’t we had enough with all those 80s metal bands that reunited sometime in the 00’s or even before the new millennium, trying to renew (?) themselves or the music genre they were/are serving? I didn’t get why & how they got split in the first place and what they have (if they do so) to offer nowadays, especially when album by album they present the same ol’ boring things.

Yeap, they’re thrash, they’re “cult”, they’re wicked… but what about the music? They managed to take a better care of their production (just listen to their 80s albums and you’ll see) but they failed to deliver interesting & creative music. It’s like the same insipid song repeatedly plays on the pick-up (what?) and none is able to change the damn thing. Spiteful/evil lyrics, bland song titles & ridiculous antichristian cover artworks. Haven’t you had enough already? I’ve had! It’s like watching a bunch of old guys, like “The Expendables” movie, trying to gain their old glory… by doing nothing other than bringing pity or laughter to the crowd.

Destruction were never a big name in the 80s, they were a good band though, but nowadays, I can’t see what they’re up to. They have nothing new or inspired to offer except for the unchanged outdated, overdone, generic & forgettable thrash metal of the 80s that so many bands tried to reincarnate during the 00s in vain. Take a look how things are being made by Kreator or Testament and learn from the big ones, if you wanna survive a day more in the metal word…
