Deceit

Not the kind of music that we are used to from this Italian label… but I think that this time they made some openings to other rock genres generally. Deceit is a rather modern with alternative, (post)-grunge & hard rock influences Italian band, which started out in 2009 as a 90s Seattle rock tribute band, under the name The River of Deceit. As you can see, the guys overly love bands like: Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age and Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Mad Season, Pearl Jam and so on.
While retaining all the above-mentioned influences, their sound is updated to our time & vigorous. They sometimes throw a few (nu/modern) metal elements here and there in their music but they’re not too many to worry. I may not be a great fan of that music but this band is not bad. They need to add additional personality & originality to their music. The album has some OK tunes but it misses that big “hit” to make it more appealing to the fans that are not so much into that genre.
They have the time to fix things, as this is the band’s only first attempt. They need to settle things down, keep their sound as it is but also come up with better & more memorable melodies as well as add a bunch of more individual features if they want to better things up in the future.
