Dealma

Self-Released

Here, we have a newcomer rock band from Italy. They were formed back in 2009 and after a while they recorded their demo “13 Toads of Positivity”. During the next years, the band mostly focused on the live shows and gave lots of gigs in Italy & Europe. Hence, now, after 3 whole years… it was about time to release their debut album.
I previously called them a rock band but that tag is very general in our time. Certainly, their background is rock… but the guys have embellished their music with hordes of alternative, pop, grunge, stoner, post-grunge, modern & funky elements plus a few electronic ones. They are a rather energetic band that always gives a jamming feeling while you’re listening to their music. Probably, the guys shall have given some quite vigorous live gigs. Just to give you a hint, think of bands like: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Jane’s Addiction, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Faith No More and so on and you get the message of Dealma’s musical mix. They’re not trying to steal/copy the bands they have been inspired of… they just add more personal features to their own musical work. The production has a “live” feeling and it’s pretty dynamic… I wouldn’t be surprised if they had recorded the whole album live.
Dealma are a hard working band that is fond of live shows… so do give ‘em a chance and listen to their music if you’re into the aforementioned music genres & bands and do not forget to see them live on stage… come what may, you’ll most likely enjoy it…
