Blackbird, a hard/heavy rock band from South-West Germany, are without a doubt great AC/DC fans, and that’s OK. I mean who isn’t? I don’ even mind that “Of Heroes and Enemies” has nothing fresh to offer to music. There are no tricks up the band’s sleeve. It appears that Blackbird intended to produce a straightforward rock debut record, and that’s exactly what they did.

Now, is it a good straightforward hard rock album? That’s the important question. Well... Yes, I guess it is. If nothing else, it’s pretty decent anyway. In other words, the guitar riffs may not be amazing, but they’re definitely above average. The vocals may not be anything to write home about, but they’re actually quite fun. Generally, the whole vibe of the album is pretty tight and rocking.

So, if you are on the lookout for a decent clean-cut hard rock album, look no further. “Of Heroes and Enemies” is the album for you.
