With their riotous debut album “Bleed Red” due for release via Long Branch Records this Friday 17th August, metal quintet The Five Hundred are set to celebrate in style with an intimate launch show at Rough Trade in Nottingham.
Taking place on the eve of the album’s release, the band will be performing tracks from their new release to those that have pre-ordered and purchased the album through the Rough Trade website, with a post-show signing taking place shortly after.
Check out the event link here.
The release show will take place on Thursday 16th, 2018. Doors open at 6.30PM. Live on stage 8.00PM / album signing 8.45PM.
Pre-order the album here.
1 purchase gains entry to the show for 2 people.
Aggressive yet euphoric, empowering yet simultaneously enslaving, The Five Hundred are renowned for overcoming adversities and laying siege to every stage they play. From struggling with tourettes, OCD, gambling and drug addiction, to perfecting their art and proving that together they are a force of nature.
Produced by Justin Hill (SiKth, Heart Of A Coward, Betraying The Martyrs) “Bleed Red” is due for release on August 17th 2018.
Each song represents a different facet of the psyche, persona, or essence of addiction – from hedonism and oblivion all the way through to seduction, narcissism, psychosis and ultimate self-destruction.
The troubled times that the band went through at the time of writing and recording the album is reflected in the musical qualities of the work, and draws from various sub-genres of metal, appealing to fans of all heavy music. The music is influenced by bands such as Meshuggah, After The Burial & Heart Of A Coward, whilst Woods-Eley’s vocals grieve like a 90s’ era grunge drug addict, strongly influenced by Layne Staley (Alice In Chains) and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden).
Live Dates 2018:

2/12 Facebarmageddon Reading, Facebar
