Shining has been nominated for Best Underground Band at Metal Hammer’s Golden Gods Awards!
Check out Shining’s frontman Jorgen Munkeby’s tongue-in-cheek response to the great news: “We are more than willing to become gods, even if it’s only for one night. It’s not every day you’re offered a shot at such a lofty title! In fact, our keyboard player is regularly addressed as a god by the rest of the band, so this award could help us make it all official”.
Metal Hammer has this to say about the fierce band from Norway on their Golden Gods website: “Fusing an incredible mixture of black metal, jazz, prog and anything else they feel like throwing in, Norway’s Shining leave as many jaws dropping as they do heads banging”.

Shining and Audrey Horne will perform at Metal Hammer’s showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas. The Showcase takes place at The Dirty Dog Bar the 15th of March.
