Preparing to release their debut album, Helsinki-based Nothing But Sunshine have just released “Parade”, a new single from their upcoming album.
Nothing But Sunshine is a synth rock band with roots in Helsinki and Toronto – and members from Finnish alternative groups such as Murmansk.
Listen to “Parade” below. Stream & download the new single on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and Tidal.
“"Parade" is one of our earliest songs, and working on it was actually one of the things that got this whole band started. However, the song found its final form only recently, just in time for this release. The song tells about tolerating uncertainty, about how intolerable it can be, and about the naive sense of freedom that imagination can at best give you”, the vocalist-guitarist Jaakko Suni describes.
“Parade” foreshadows the upcoming 2020 release of the band’s debut album. Although Nothing But Sunshine is a fairly new band, its releases so far have led to touring in several countries and playing most of its shows outside Finland. In addition to finishing the upcoming album, during the last year the band has performed in Russia, the Baltic countries, and most recently in India at the Saarang World Festival in January 2020. The release of “Parade” has been preceded by the “Colour in a Nightmare” single and the “White Lies” EP.
“Parade” was mixed by Mikko Gordon, known for his work with Thom Yorke, Gaz Coombes, Pete Townshend, and numerous other artists. The single is released by Secret Entertainment.
