Lucidity’s second single, “Scotoma”, continues the dive into the similar dark waters than the first single, “Surface”, of the upcoming album.
Strong atmospheric melancholy gets support from arrangements that is not that familiar in Lucidity’s creations before. This gives a glimpse of the albums diversity.

The guitarist-vocalist Martti Pohjosaho comments the track:
“The title of the song, "Scotoma", refers to human mind and to the blind spots it creates. Some believe in things certain ways because that is the way it has been taught, and that is the way some want to see”.
The album “Oceanum” will be released on February 22nd, 2019, via Inverse Records.

Lucidity continues to paint melancholic landscapes with their new album, “Oceanum”, as the colour palette remains as dark as ever. Compared to their well received debut album (“The Oblivion Circle” 2015), Lucidity dives deeper into dark waters as ever before. The lack of bright colours has been replaced with versatility, by pushing far ends further away from each other. There are also some unexpected influences and elements. This time the material is a lot more carefully planned and finished, down to the soundscape as well.
