James is currently in the US playing second guitar on The Cult’s tour which includes both Coachella festivals. Prior to this he rejoined his first band Chelsea for a string of UK dates and has done some European gig with Gene Loves Jezebel. Back in January he played with The Alarm at their annual event The Gathering in Wales where they did a four hour set!! Before he left for The Cult tour James spent a day riding around London on his Triumph Thruxton 900 motorbike, this was all filmed for the “Go Mister!” video which also features The Sexpistilettos...
“His trademark white Les Paul gets a good mangling in classy opener "Suzi’s Problem" Stevenson’s vocals ain’t half bad either, and "Go Mister"; sees his drawling, smokey tones entwined with female backing singers the Sex Pistilletos. He may find it hard to top this one” - Viva Le Rock March-April 2014 - Joe Whyte 9/10
“His album is even broader than his CV, from stately opener "Suzi’s Problem" through the picturesque rock of "Twilight Riders", the soulful "Come On People", the funky "Give It Up" to the low-growling "Naturally Wired". Stevenson plays a multitude of guitars and delivers dynamic solos on cue” - Classic Rock March 2014 - Hugh Fielder
