Model Spotlight of the Month
When and how did you decide to deal with modeling?
J: I have always had an interest in modeling, and have modeled on and off for a few years for various projects. I decided to take up modeling seriously once I had finished university in 2019, as I had more time to focus on it. I started working with photographers to build a portfolio, and I now work full time as a published model.
Are you also interested in music video shooting or any TV shows?
J: Yes! I have been in multiple music videos and various trailers/adverts for products, but not yet a TV show. However this would definitely be something that I’d be interested in.
How do you choose the best hair color each time?
J: At the moment I’m trying to work my way around the entire rainbow of colours, and go as many shades as possible! However, I am also currently trying to co-ordinate which colour I go next depending on the season! I’d recently been trying to lighten my hair to a light blue colour, to do a wintery ‘ice queen’ style shoot, and then afterwards, my goal is to go pink, to match with spring / blossom.
What’s the weirdest incident that has happened while shooting in public?
J: I don’t think I can recall too many “weird” incidents during shoots. I’ve have a few people ask us to move whilst we were shooting as they stated we couldn’t shoot there (one time we had already finished the shoot); another time, I got pooped on by a bird mid shoot! All down the front of my dress… damn pigeons. I had another where we planned a four hour swimwear shoot in September but the weather was awful! We shot some fashion for about an hour, but it was raining and absolutely freezing, and we weren’t even allowed down by the sea due to the weather, and it got to the point where there was absolutely nothing else we could shoot, so we had to cut it short.
What defines a sexy woman according to you?
J: Someone who is confident in their body image, who they are as a person, and the way that they look.
What’s the sexiest part on you?
J: Can “eyes” be sexy? I feel like in regards to body shape nowadays, the trend seems to be to be “thicker” and “curvy”, so as a skinner girl, I wouldn’t say that my body shape falls into the “sexy” category! However, I have always seemed to get a lot of compliments on my eyes. But whether this counts as “sexy” or something else – maybe pretty…? I’m not sure!
Which one of the Seven Deadly Sins you consider yourself to be?
J: For a long time I have compared myself and my life to other peoples, despite the fact that no one knows what actually goes on in someone’s life behind closed doors, and that things may not actually be as they seem! I would get sad thinking that other people were doing better than me, that they were happier, prettier, achieving more, succeeding in everything, so because of this I would have to go with Envy. However this is definitely something that I am working on, and have been spending a lot of time being grateful for what I have, who I am, and the people I have around me.
What’s the weirdest photo shooting you’ve ever done so far?
J: This was a paid shoot last year. He wanted the shoot to take place in a local graveyard, he brought his recently deceased mother’s wedding dress along for me to wear, he wanted me kneeling down by a tombstone, holding a candle that he lit and then a plastic sword, and he brought an onion along with a pen knife for me to cut into to make me cry, for the shot.
What’s the best city/country you’ve ever been to and why?
J: In 2017, I went to Tanzania and climbed Kilimanjaro, and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done! I absolutely loved experiencing and learning about the new culture, and I would absolutely love to go back one day.
Which are your beloved bands & artists in general?
J: My music taste varies drastically. It can range from Black Veil Brides (rock) to Ludovico Einaudi (classical piano). I also have a huge soft spot for James Blunt.
Who’s the sexiest Rock Star of all time?
J: I’m a big lover of Andy Black in Black Veil Brides – I love the emo look!
What’s your Guilty Pleasure?
J: I love to watch the TV show Neighbours! Whenever I mention to anyone that I watch it, I just get laughed at or judged, but I think it’s amazing! It’s one of those things where I’ve been watching it for so long now… that I don’t think I could ever stop!
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
J: Motivated, committed, ambitious…
