Well upon listening to this album, the second by some German chaps from Weisbaden in Germany, I had to check twice that it didn’t feature a guest performance by Tom Keifer of Cinderella or Spike of the Quireboys. This rosey quartet have a rather nasty hard rock sound, so perfect that it’s almost ridiculous that the come from Central-West Germany and not from say Burbank! Feck that.

They manage the sound impeccably well, which is quite an achievement and even production wise they sound like they’ve poured a few Euros in… but when it come to the songs themselves things are in fact a little less rosey.

Opener “Head or Tails” is pretty good as is the title track, but in general things are quite hit and miss with this lot. When they rock a tune, they do it well, but still, they‘re not as mature as the bands they almost impersonate; “Hurt Me Once (Love Me Twice)” ain’t bad, as is the more dynamic rich, “Not From This World” that however gravitates towards more of a post grunge sound. They bolster up the album with some four bonuses, two of them coming from their debut that I’m pretty certain not a lot of people must have heard… the best of which is “Leave Me Alone”.

At any rate, a promising band that surprises with how well they pull a style that’s not European, even if they are – reminding me a bit of glamsters Tigertailz, which were Welsh, but sounded American, or redneck or something… (hehe) but certainly not bloody Welsh. They still need to hone their songcraft, but yeah, they got something going on for them.
