Fates Warning announces January 2018 US and Mexico Live Shows

U.S. Progressive Metal pioneers Fates Warning have announced further live shows in the USA and Mexico as part of their next touring run in January 2018 in support of their much acclaimed latest album “Theories of Flight”.

Here is a list of the exact dates, which now also include German post rockers Long Distance Calling as special guests for the shows in Germany.

Fates Warning announces January 2018 European Tour and live release recordings

U.S. Progressive Metal pioneers Fates Warning have announced a next run of touring across Europe for January 2018 in support of their much acclaimed latest album “Theories of Flight”.

All of the shows will be recorded for an upcoming live release, which makes the dates very special.

Steve Vai to release “Modern Primitive” on July 7th 2017

Virtuoso guitarist and visionary composer Steve Vai will release “Modern Primitive” on July 7th, 2017 through Favored Nations Entertainment, the indie label founded by Vai in 1999.

Originally included as a companion disk to Vai’s 25th anniversary release of his seminal “Passion and Warfare” CD, “Modern Primitive” will be released by itself as the 7th installment of the Steve Vai “Secret Jewel Box”, an ambitious 10 CD box set that was originally released in December 2001.

Fates Warning to release new DVD/Blu-ray “Awaken the Guardian Live” on April 28th 2017

Legendary progressive metal act Fates Warning celebrated the 30th anniversary of their third album, “Awaken the Guardian”, in 2016.

To celebrate this milestone, Jim Matheos (guitar) reassembled the “Awaken the Guardian”-era lineup for two special festival appearances last year: Keep it True XIX and Prog Power USA XVII.

Fortunately for fans that were not able to attend, each show was filmed and recorded in its entirety for the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray out on April 28th, 2017, via Metal Blade Records, Awaken the Guardian Live!

Fates Warning announces Summer 2017 European Tour

U.S. Progressive Metal pioneers Fates Warning have just wrapped up an extremely successful first European headlining tour for their much praised latest release “Theories of Flight” and are now announcing a next run of dates for June, including the first UK and French shows in support of the album.

Nova Collective to release debut album “The Further Side” on March 10th 2017

On March 10th, 2017, Nova Collective (featuring members of Between The Buried And Me, Haken, Trioscapes, Cynic) will release their debut album, “The Further Side”, via Metal Blade Records.

Nova Collective‘s music can be described as fusion, weaving progressive rock influences with world music, jazz and classical, to create something entirely new that is pure aural candy for prog/jazz fans.

Fates Warning announces Winter 2017 European Tour

U.S. Progressive Metal pioneers Fates Warning have confirmed their first touring run in Europe for their much acclaimed new album “Theories of Flight”.

The tour will be taking place in January/February 2017 and will feature Armored Dawn in the opening slot and one further band to be announced soon. Below is a list of the dates.

In addition to touring Europe numerous times with his instrumental power trio Stearica, sharing the stage with bands such as Girls Against Boys, Acid Mothers Temple, NoMeansNo, Dälek, Damo Suzuki and Coliseum, as well as working as a session player with several Italian acts, Davide Compagnoni has been hard at work developing his electrifying new solo project Khompa: an adventurous mix of drumming, electronics and cutting edge drum triggering technology.
