The Mon, the new solo project by Urlo - best known as the lead vocalist, bassist, and synth player in heavy trio Ufomammut - has shared a video from the upcoming debut full-length expected this autumn.
 
The video for The Mon's “Her” is the first one of a series titled “Solve et Coagula" - the formula that the alchemists used to effect the transformation from base metal into gold. It could also be described as a process where something is broken down to its elements, a process which produces energy that compels reconstitution in a purer form. The video for “Her" was created by Lu of Malleus Rock Art Lab.
 

Following the breakthrough success of last year’s “RR7349”, Austin-based experimental synth quartet S U R V I V E have announced the impending release of “RR7387”, a four song EP of remixes and reinterpretations due on November 3rd, 2017, on Relapse Records.

Featuring an eclectic batch of luminaries including Justin Broadrick aka JK Flesh (of Godflesh, Jesu), Lena Willikens, Not Waving, and Sam Haar (of Blondes), the new renditions showcase the compositional skill, rich diversity, and broad scope of S U R V I V E’s expansive sonic palette.

In addition to touring Europe numerous times with his instrumental power trio Stearica, sharing the stage with bands such as Girls Against Boys, Acid Mothers Temple, NoMeansNo, Dälek, Damo Suzuki and Coliseum, as well as working as a session player with several Italian acts, Davide Compagnoni has been hard at work developing his electrifying new solo project Khompa: an adventurous mix of drumming, electronics and cutting edge drum triggering technology.

Relapse Records is delighted to announce the signing of electronic / rock pioneer The Album Leaf! The Album Leaf, led by Jimmy LaValle, has been a major influential force across many disparate genres of music over the last twenty years, and joins a long line of experimental musicians that have helped shape and define Relapse history.

Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Austin, TX experimental synth quartet S U R V I V E. Formed in 2009, the prolific group have released two full-lengths and numerous EPs / singles since their inception, including recent contributions to the soundtrack for the acclaimed horror film The Guest.

Now, S U R V I V E have completed self-recording their second full-length at their home studios. The currently untitled album will see a late summer release via Relapse. Unfortunately, Jonathan Douglas Lord a.k.a Jon Lord, the composer, pianist and Hammond organ player of Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Paice, Ashton & Lord, The Artwoods and Flower Pot Men has passed away after losing the fight with cancer.

 

Jon was a great musician & composer that has inluenced, with his unique style, loads of bands & musicians throughout his career...

 

The GR team is expressing their deppest condolences to Jon's family and his fellow musicians... R.I.P. Jon... Your music will never die...

 

Howard Jones will embark on a nationwide UK tour on Wednesday 11th April at the O2 Academy Bristol. This will be the first time that Howard will perform his first two studio albums "Human’s Lib" and "Dream Into Action" back to back, live in their entirety, on a full-scale nationwide UK tour.

 

Human's Lib was first released on March 17th 1984. The album peaked at number 1 in the UK charts and spent 57 weeks in the top 40. The album includes the hit singles "What Is Love?", "New Song", "Pearl In The Shell" and "Hide & Seek" (the song Howard performed at Live Aid).
