Hi Lefteris... How did the store start?

L: The shop opened its doors in 2001. It was run by me and my brother who has also owned Ikaros Music since 1992. It was very different back then, we only had computer supplies and, of course, vinyl accessories. In 2006 we divided the tasks, I run the retail store and my brother is in charge of the wholesale.

Wild Smiles - Always Tomorrow

Wild Smiles’ musical style can be described as a combination of The Beach Boys and Nirvana (without Kurt Cobain’s gritty vocals). I guess if they had come out during the 60s they would have been innovative and probably a big hit. On the other hand, there’s always a market for that kind of retro sound. Their songs are not half bad also, so… you know… they’ve got things going for them.

Wild Smiles to release “Always Tomorrow” on October 27th 2014

Wild Smiles will release their brilliant debut album, “Always Tomorrow”, on Sunday Best Recordings on October 27th, 2014. The fast-rising trio, comprising brothers Chris and Joe Peden with drummer Ben Cook will be tour throughout the summer, taking in festival dates.

Reverend Horton Heat - REV

Critically acclaimed as well as an underground favourite, Revered Horton Heat have been mixing surf, country, punk, big band and rockabilly since 1985. “REV” is the band’s (I’ve always considered The Revered Horton Heat a band as opposed to just one dude) first release with Victory records and, according to them, they couldn’t be happier about this collaboration. This album is Revered Horton Heat at their best, their most rocking album since “Spend a Night in the Box” (2000). Like Lemmy from Motörhead said: ”Reverend Horton Heat, he’s great and plays the music he believes in and nothing else. Go see him or I’ll kill you!”…
