Johnny Hates Jazz announces UK Tour 2016

In 1987, as the era of Electronic Pop and New Romantics was reaching its culmination, Anglo-American group Johnny Hates Jazz were catapulted to success with the release of their single “Shattered Dreams” on Virgin Records. It became a top 5 hit worldwide, reaching number 2 in the USA and Japan, and has since been played over 3 million times on American radio alone.

Leapfrogtown

Hi Chris… I’m glad to have you on Grande Rock. First of all, do tell us how did the idea to form Leapfrogtown come about?

C: Stu and I were in The Bloogs ‘til 2012, but the drummer and singer had personal problems and following some great festival appearances things got really slow, so I thought “Let’s leapfrog over all this and start a side-project with no restrictions”. So Leapfrogtown was born, I stepped up to front the band and now here we are.

And what about the name Leapfrogtown? How did you come up with it?

Visage - Demons to Diamonds

“Demons to Diamonds” is the new, fifth and last album of Visage! That may sound a bit weird but it all makes sense if you consider the fact that the band’s leader, composer & singer Steve Strange passed away in February 2015, while he was on vacations in Egypt. He was already working on a new Visage album since the Spring of 2014. Apart from the tragic event itself, Steve’s loss is a major hurt for the new wave synth-pop movement in general. Who hasn’t heard the band’s super classic hymn “Fade to Grey”, regardless of one’s music taste and the time era they have lived in?
