Kee Marcello - Scaling Up

Kee Marcello would be familiar to most as the former guitarist in Europe as well as Easy Action, but fewer might know him for his solo work, including that lonesome K2 album and a further four this one inclusive. A more skilled player than the original and bluesier Europe axeman John Norum, Kee didn’t quite have such a smooth career after his exit from Europe. His albums are rather mixed up musically, with utter moments of brilliance and a more contemporary sound overall, but received little to no fanfare upon release.

Kee Marcello to release new studio album “Scaling Up” on October 14th 2016

Frontiers Music Srl proudly announces the release date of Kee Marcello’s new studio album “Scaling Up” on October 14th, 2016.

With “Scaling Up”, Kee Marcello is using his past as a springboard to take a giant leap into the future! With the new music firmly grounded in the songwriting tradition that made him a multi-platinum rock star in the first place, Kee explores the boundaries of melodic hard rock with a contemporary performance that nods to his past and employs sizzling production. This is an album all his fans will have to pick their jaws up off the floor after hearing!

Paul Gilbert - I Can Destroy

Apparently Paul Gilbert’s, 18th or so solo album, was released a few months back in Japan, but wasn’t even getting an announcement for the rest of the world. Until now.

Well, I’m not sure how shred freaks will take it… all the while, it seems to be a logical continuation of his past two albums, it’s even more bluesy and song oriented than before, obviously with the technique being consistently high, the song craft being first class and Gilbert’s sense of humor keen as ever.

The pretty funky and a little bizarre opener “Everybody Use Your Goddamn Turn Signals” sounds as if it has JK Simmons (?!) saying that phrase hahaha!
