Steamhammer / SPV are opening the new year 2022 with a real bang, taking advantage of the increasingly upbeat mood after this never ending lockdown: Satan’s Fall, one of the most promising metal bands from Finland, has signed with the Hanover-based label. After their successful “Final Day” debut album, the band has been working on material for their next studio album.

November 2021 - the dark season has started again, the lack of daylight and falling leaves are a daily reminder of life’s transience, with menacing shadows lurking. But behold, there’s a light in the darkness - Blind Guardian have come to “Deliver Us From Evil”, so’s the name of the brand new single from the German metal heroes out on December 3rd, 2021. The song foreshadows the band’s new album, scheduled for September 2022.

Following a decade of wreaking havoc together, Virginian metal maniacs Municipal Waste and Nuclear Blast have officially re-signed a worldwide deal that will extend the Nuclear-Waste union for years to come.

With a bond forged in youth and decades-old friendship, the undisputed masters of thrash metal, Exodus, return with their eleventh studio album, “Persona Non Grata”, due to be released on November 19th, 2021, via Nuclear Blast Records.

Today, the band releases a music video for the first single entitled “The Beatings Will Continue (Until Morale Improves)”. Watch the video written and directed by BJ McDonnell and produced by James A Rota, below.

There are plenty of reasons why Rock ‘n’ Rolf Kasparek is so happy with “Blood on Blood”. Says Rolf: “We all know the difficulties the cultural sector was faced with during the lockdown. On the other hand, it also gave me and many other artists some extra time since most releases had to be postponed. I used that time to fine-tune every little detail of my new material. The result is an album that in my opinion is probably the best in Running Wild’s career to date.

This year, Calgary’s Ravenous is giving metalheads another reason to be famished after the long musical starvation experienced around the globe. They are releasing their new full-length album “Hubris”, which continues to reminisce about a time when metal was hungry.

On July 16th, 2021, Berlin’s Space Chaser will release their new album, “Give Us Life”, via Metal Blade Records.

Exodus’ drummer Tom Hunting has revealed that he has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. Today Tom begins his treatment and hopes his story helps to raise awareness.

Each event will be presented as a chronological set filled with songs and stories spanning David’s legendary career, along with some deep cuts that have rarely (or never) been performed live from his catalog of work.
