Gazpacho reveal new video for “Exit Suite” from new album “Soyuz”

Ahead of the release of their brand-new studio album, “Soyuz”, on May 18th, 2018, Norwegian Art-rock progressive outfit Gazpacho have revealed their visually stunning and emotive new video for the track “Exit Suite”.

Gazpacho’s Thomas Andersen explains the song’s creative birth: “"Exit Suite" is the cinematic sounding result of a night playing with matches in the studio. It is a song about the fear of dawn and the passing of the old day. The matches were supposed to be our short flickering lives in the dark universe and we ended up making a rhythm out of them and building a song on that rhythm”.

Gazpacho to release new studio album “Soyuz” on May 18th 2018

Known for their distinctive art rock that balances tense and beautiful arrangements, sinister and soulful melodic lines, Gazpacho’s “Soyuz” furthers their experimental output.

A band who are used to seizing headlines with bizarre stories, including The Independent (UK) branding “Molok” as “An album that could destroy the world”, Gazpacho have a holistic approach to the album writing process, imbuing each with a captivating concept.

Gazpacho - Molok

Only a year after “Demon”, Gazpacho are back with their new album “Molok”. In truth to be told, I didn’t enjoy “Demon” that much; I still think that it’s an OK album without reaching the high levels that the band attained with “March of Ghosts”. I was really curious to listen to “Molok”. Now after several spins I can say that “Molok” is way better than “Demon” but still a level (or two) below “March of Ghosts”.

IZZ to release “Everlasting Instant” on April 7th 2015

IZZ’s new studio album, “Everlasting Instant”, is scheduled for release on April 7th, 2015 and serves as the final installment of a three-part series of albums that began with “The Darkened Room” in 2009 and continued with “Crush of Night” in 2012. “Everlasting Instant” concludes this epic thematic arc with a fresh palette of sounds, all the while maintaining the sharp and memorable melodies that have become a hallmark of the band.

IZZ - Crush of Night

The start was made with “The Darkened Room” in 2009 for this New York based prog rock moniker. “Crush of Night” is the second part of a thematic album-trilogy that will be concluded on the band’s next release.

Gazpacho

Hi Jon-Arne… Congrats on “March of Ghosts”. We’ve put it in the “GEMS” category…

J: Thank you! Very happy to hear that so many have received the album so well.

Seventh release for the band… and two years after “Missa Atropos”. It seems that you’re on the peak of your creativity.

Gazpacho - March of Ghosts

Delve deeply into the past… apparitions of Haitian war criminals, spectral presences of the Mary Celeste crew, a wraith-like figure of an American soldier who finds himself in our day and the ghost of an English comedy writer unfairly accused of treason march before your very eyes through Gazpacho’s music.

Plackband - After the Battle

When I first heard about this CD, I thought that it was about one more power/true metal album. But I was wrong... because Plackband (what a name!) play pure 70s prog rock. In fact at times it sounds as if I’m listening to a Yes album (of the first period) or to King Crimson. “Is this bad?” you might ask. Well yes and no.
