Steve Vai to release new studio album “Inviolate” on January 28th 2022

Steve Vai and Favored Nations / Mascot Label Group have announced his new studio album titled “Inviolate” will be released on January 28th, 2022, digitally and on CD. The LP will follow on March 18th, 2022.

Today, they present the song “Little Pretty” which can be previewed below. The recording is a dark-toned fusion-funk workout played almost exclusively on a Gretsch hollow body guitar.

Steve Vai and Dreamcatcher Events have announced Vai Academy 6.0 – “Finding Your Note” will be staged August 4-8, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa. Featured guests at this year’s gathering include Nuno Bettencourt, Guthrie Govan, Larry Mitchell, Joe Robinson, Billy Sheehan, Yvette Young, plus special guest Tommy Emmanuel.

Steve Vai announces Winter & Spring 2022 US Headlining Tour

Steve Vai has announced an extensive tour of the U.S., with 54 scheduled appearances confirmed. Vai’s Inviolate World Tour will begin at House of Blues in Las Vegas on January 27th, 2022, and wrap in Los Angeles on April 2nd, 2022 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel.

Steve Vai releases first music theory book “Vaideology” and “Piano Reductions: Vol. 2”

Steve Vai has released two new titles. First, his first music theory book via publisher Hal Leonard. Titled “Vaideology: Basic Music Theory for Guitar Players”, the gargantuan effort was designed to help both beginners and veteran guitar players. Vai takes a deep dive into the basics of music theory to help players better understand the language of music and become more musically literate.

Supported by a young and hungry performer known as Kaleb McKane and his four piece band presented an excellent set with his brilliant bluesy solos definitely shacked up still waters and fired up the audience.

After a short change up we were ready to experience the night’s long awaited headliner.
