HammerFall and Candlemass Nominated for 2020 Grammis Awards in the category “Best Hard Rock / Metal Of the Year”

Swiftly following the recently announced first Grammy Award nomination for Napalm Records and Candlemass, the Swedish doom metal legends and Scandinavian heavy metal idols HammerFall are building upon this achievement with additional award nominations. Both bands have been nominated for 2020 Grammis Awards – the most prestigious award in the Swedish music industry.

Candlemass nominated for “Best Metal Performance” Grammy Award

Candlemass are truly the manifestation of pure doom metal! Early 2019 saw the release of their latest album, “The Door to Doom”, via Napalm Records – an offering that features an unforgettable pairing with legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi on the track “Astorolus - The Great Octopus”. The song has now been nominated for a 2020 Grammy Award in the “Best Metal Performance” category. This is the first nomination for the band and the first nomination for Napalm Records!

Cirith Ungol launches live video for “Join the Legion”

On October 25th, 2019, Cirith Ungol will release their new live album/DVD, “I’m Alive”, via Metal Blade Records. Capturing Cirith Ungol at the peak of their darkened, mystical powers before a rapturous crowd at the Up the Hammers festival in Athens, Greece, this recording showcases the magic and might of the band onstage. It’s accompanied by additional performances recorded at the Hammer of Doom (2017) and Rock Hard Festivals (2018) in Germany.
