One of the few remaining truly independent, privately owned record labels in existence today, L.A.-based Cleopatra Records has been championing underground music and outsider artists since its inception in 1992.

Now, the label has teamed up with the biggest music festival dedicated to discovering and promoting new talent, SXSW, to announce the first ever official Cleopatra Records showcase. Headlining this special event is legendary songwriter/producer/guitarist, Todd Rundgren, an artist well known for pushing the boundaries of rock and pop with his distinctive flair for the eccentric and unusual.

Lisa Stansfield has announced that her new album “Deeper” will be released on April 6th, 2018, on earMusic.

The first track to be made available is “Everything” - with its groove, funk, soul and signature vocals, the songs is an exciting taster of what we can expect from the new album.

Todd Rundgren – the iconic songwriter, recording artist, producer and innovator – will release his newest album “White Knight” on May 12th, 2017, via Cleopatra Records.

The 15-track collection features a dynamic range of original songs and deft studio work by Rundgren, with an incredible array of guests to match, including Dam Funk, Donald Fagen, Daryl Hall, Bettye Lavette, Robyn, Joe Satriani, Joe Walsh, and others.

Legendary pop idol, songwriter and singer Prince passed away on April 21st, 2016, at the age of 57 at his home in suburban Minneapolis.

The pop star’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, told the news service that Prince was found dead at his home in suburban Minneapolis.

Police were called to a medical emergency at his Paisley Park estate earlier on Thursday, US media reported. An investigation is underway.

On April 15th, 2016, Prince's private plane was forced to land in Illinois, so he could seek medical treatment for flu-like symptoms. He performed in concert one day later.
