King Buzzo to release new studio album “Gift of Sacrifice” on May 15th 2020

King Buzzo, the iconic Melvins’ singer and guitar player, returns with his second solo album, “Gift of Sacrifice”, on May 15th, 2020, via Ipecac Recordings.

The nine-song release finds Buzz Osborne joined by longtime friend and Mr. Bungle bass player Trevor Dunn.

The collection’s first single, “Science in Modern America” can be heard now, below.

Mark Morton releases first video for “All I Had to Lose”

Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton has revealed the first video from his new solo EP, “Ether”, out today via Rise Records.

Morton’s second solo offering is primarily acoustic and consists of three original tracks and two covers. Morton cites “All I Had to Lose”, released last week as a single, as “one of the most personal songs I have ever written”.

Sarah Longfield announces May 2019 US Tour with Felix Martin

Wisconsin-based Sarah Longfield, dubbed one of “the world’s greatest 7 and 8 string guitarists” by Guitar World Magazine, has announced a US spring tour with Felix Martin in support of her ambitious new album, “Disparity”, her first album for Season Of Mist. The tour begins May 1st in West Hollywood, California and runs across the country for nearly the entire month, the tour ending in Dallas, Texas on May 30th.
 

Wardruna present video for Old Norse poem “Voluspá”

Leading up to the release of Wardruna’s acoustic album “Skald”, Einar Selvik has teamed up with Finnish company Koski Syvari led by Tuukka Koski, plus a pack of wolves, creating a beautiful film to his skaldic rendition of the Old Norse poem “Voluspá” (Prophecy of the Seeress).

Filming took place in Finland where Einar spent intense days of training with the wolves and their caretakers, preparing for the shoot.
