AOR - The Secrets of L.A.

Frédéric Slama is a bit of a joker... not only is he serially releasing albums of sometimes questionable quality (ie Chasing Violets) mostly based on the singers good looks, rather than purely their abilities, but here he actually repackages a number of cuts from that album along with a few more resign from a who’s who of the scene of modern melodic rock just for a quick cash in. Obviously most of the singers do a decent job, over, Slama’s simple melodies and Spartan orchestrations that are quite derivative. While the players, are all too, handpicked, seasoned west-coast superstars, the production leaves something to be desired.

3 Inches Of Blood - US West Coast Tour 2012

After recently returning home from their last European tour with Overkill Vancouver's heavy metal veterans 3 INCHES OF BLOOD will head out on a US headlining West Coast run next month. The two-week trek will feature special guest Huntress as main support, and speed-rock act Hookers as the tour opener. A list of confirmed dates can be seen below.

Cam Pipes (vocals): "We're closing out the year strong with some US headlining shows of our own. The west coast has long been a 3IOB stronghold, so naturally we're excited to be returning to play a full show to our loyal fans. Long Live West Coast Heavy Metal"!

Chasing Violets - Outside Heaven

Chasing Violets is a collaborative effort between god knows how many people, as there’s a list of musicians on the band’s site, that goes on and on for a while, spearheaded, by Frédéric Slama of all those AOR projects fame and fronted by two very charming young French Ladies, with warm and sensuous voices, namely sisters, Sarah & Mélissa Fontaine who in recent years were performing around clubs in their native country, before a chance encounter, with Mr Slama, that seemingly altered their immediate plans.
