Rockshots Records announce their signing of symphonic pirate metal act Crusade Of Bards for their sophomore album “Tales of the Seven Seas” due out on February 18th, 2022. The album follows their 2019 debut record “Tales of Bards & Beasts” that was released via Pride & Joy Records.

Kvaen to release new studio album “The Great Below” on March 25th 2022

Korpiklaani announces live Q&A on February 5th 2021

Korpiklaani and Nuclear Blast Records regret to inform fans that due to a Covid-19 related shutdown of a manufacturer involved in the pressing of the “Jylhä” vinyl editions, the release of all vinyl has to be pushed back to March 12th, 2021. The CD and digital album will still be released on February 5th, 2021, as planned.

Korpiklaani - Jylhä

Finnish folk metallers Korpiklaani are back with their 11th studio release, “Jylhä”, via Nuclear Blast Records.
 
“Jylhä”, which roughly translates to “majestic” or “wild and rugged in a beautiful way”, is a pretty strong outing for being 11 albums deep as a band. It has all of the elements that Korpiklaani has become known for over the years. Upbeat songs, great usage of incorporating folk instruments, such as violins into their sound, and the raspy vocals of frontman Jonne Järvelä.
 

Einherjer to release new studio album “North Star” on February 26th 2021

Viking Metal pioneers Einherjer will release their eighth studio album, “North Star”, on February 26th, 2021, proving their status as the pioneers of blending Nordic Black Metal and Folk Metal genres to pure Norse Heavy Metal once again.

On “North Star”, the band around singer / guitarist / bassist Frode Glesnes and drummer / keyboarder Gerhard Storesund adds more modern, mass-appealing facets while staying true to their roots.
 

Varmia signs with M-Theory Audio and announces new album “bal Lada”

The Polish pagan black metal group Varmia – who pay tribute to their Baltic roots by combining black metal sounds with traditional instruments such as the goat horn and the tagelharpa - has signed with M-Theory Audio. The band’s third album, “bal Lada”, will be released in Spring 2021.

Korpiklaani today announce their new studio album “Jylhä”, which will be released on February 5th, 2021, via Nuclear Blast Records.

“Jylhä” (which has no direct translation, but can be described as majestic and also wild or rugged in a strong, beautiful way) will be available as digital album, CD, black vinyl and grass green vinyl [limited to 300 pieces]. The pre-order will start soon.
