Sascha Paeth’s Masters Of Ceremony

Hello, Sascha! Congrats on the album, we really enjoyed it!

S: Thank you for having me, it’s great to see, that my work is still appreciated, by people around the world! Releasing an album after all this time, made me slightly anxious, even if I liked it very much and seeing the great reception all around, even in the first few days, is just great.

Sascha Paeth’s Masters Of Ceremony - Signs of Wings

In truth, other than being involved in the resurrection and continuation of Avantasia as a band (where Tobias Sammet is the main composer, one would presume), Sascha Paeth hasn’t been to active musically, other that producing and performing, so the announcement of a new album by a new band he created came as a bit of a surprise and immediately created a lot of questions at the back of my mind. What would it sound like, who would involve and all that. Little by little details surfaced and filled in the blanks.

Red Cain to release debut full-length album “Kindred: Act I” on March 1st 2019

Born out of the emerging metal scene of Calgary, AB, Red Cain is a modern melodic metal project with European roots. With intricate songwriting, a heavy yet melodic feel reminiscent of progressive acts, and eerie ambient elements, Red Cain champion a fluid, dynamic, and unique musical style centered around telling dark, conceptual Faustian sagas and constructing those into an unforgettable live experience.

Eagleheart - Reverse

With a name such as Eagleheart, one would expect a rather cheery/corny Europower band, but these Czechs on their third release are actually more Kamelot & Symphony X influenced than anything else.

Edgy power metal with lots of orchestrations and dynamics, bogged down by a plastic and over-compressed, flattened production that allows little separation between the instruments, with barely some keys, quite a bit of the vocals and a bit of cymbals, protruding above the blanket that covers the rest of the mix. It drags the band down and it doesn’t help that singer Roman Sacek doesn’t have the widest range in the genre (although he’s adequate).

Almah

Hi Edu… I’m glad we have you on Grande Rock. It’s been a decade Alham has been alive, so what a better way to “celebrate” it with a new release, huh?! And what a great album!

E: Hello man, yeah 10 years, a life time! It’s very nice to celebrate it with “E.V.O”! I really love it! I’m glad u liked it as well!

So, what happened these 3 years since the release of “Unfold”? I see that you have a new drummer, Pedro Tinello, and a new guitarist, Diogo Mafra (Dynahead) on board as well.

Red Cain to release self-titled debut EP on November 25th 2016

Calgary, AB's Red Cain have teamed up with PureGrainAudio for the premiere of their new lyric video for their first single “Hiraeth” off their upcoming self-titled debut EP set for release on November 25th, 2016.

The track was written as an anthem to glorious ages past, driven by the band's Eastern European roots. Enveloped in Slavic mythology and imagery, the track takes the listener into an era where mysticism and sorcery coexisted with sharp steel, pagan hymns, and a still-present yearning for the restless wild. It is a gallop through hidden memories in their blood, and a call to arms from a long-forgotten heritage of renown.
