Mother Feather tackles “Red Hot Metal”, as Maria Manic takes on Matt “The Bulldozer” Tremont in new video; NYC release show tomorrow at Knitting Factory.

As the year comes to a close, New York City’s Mother Feather aren’t letting up: the notorious stage-destroyers are releasing the visuals for album opener “Red Hot Metal” just ahead of their hometown album release show.

Just before the highly anticipated drop of their sophomore album, “Constellation Baby”, this Friday (Nov. 2), Mother Feather is bringing fans a final preview of the record with the boot-stomping “Totally Awesome”, which can be heard below.

The slow-building, classic rock-revering anthem proclaims the power of doing what you want, going where you want, and hails the “exuberant freedom of being in love in an epic ode to a magical city”, according to frontwoman Ann Courtney.

New York City's Mother Feather have perfected the formula to pay homage to the roots of punk'n'roll and heavy rock injected with their own brand of the divine feminine, and since their debut album have been keeping the audience on their toes.

The evolution of their high-energy “pop cock rock” surges forward this November with their sophomore album “Constellation Baby”, out via Metal Blade Records / Blacklight Media.
 

This April, Mother Feather dives deep into their sophomore album with Grammy-nominated producer Joshua Valleau (Kanye West, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Common, Imani Coppola, Alice Smith).

Legendary engineer Oliver Straus will be at the desk for principle recording at Mission Sound with Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther, Diana Ross, Meatloaf) on deck to mix.

Artistically and aesthetically deeply rooted in the Seventies the Valeta brothers Armand Valeta (vocals and rhythm guitar) and LG Valeta (lead guitar) founded '77 (pronounced Seventy Seven) as a direct reflection of the concept of the era they love. Over the past years '77, who are hailing from Spain, didn't just make a name for themselves with their studio recordings, but particularly with their high energy live shows that secured them countless European tours with the likes of diverse bands such as Bullet, Audrey Horne, Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock, Danko Jones or their label mates Dead Lord.
