Waxpanel - For Those Left Standing

Waxpanel is a San Antonio, Texas, trio that has been around in one form or other since 2008. Current members include Micah Lindner (vocals/guitar), Chris Fletcher (bass), and Steve Boldway (drums). The overall style is a post grunge, alternative rock, with Christian lyrics; so normally this is something that I should not enjoy at all, as I am both an old school metalhead and an atheist, but their P.O.D. like style, with less rapping style, is not too hard to listen to… so, I decided to give em a try.

The band shot the video with director Adam Shewmaker, calling upon Joel Burris for the karaoke-style graphics and setting up shop at New Castle, Indiana’s Town Tavern for the video shoot.

Stryper - Live at the Whisky

The legacy of Stryper as a cornerstone in the hard rock market runs back 30 years to the days when creating the genre’s top hard rocking riffs wasn’t following suit from bands that came before them, but developing an art that was still new to listeners, and in just a few short years, viewers too as MTV was on the rise. Be it FM radio, or music television – Stryper cornered the market in both venues and will long be known as the first band to cross over the Christian rock market with mainstream hard rock. Truly, they are musical legends that have stood the test of time, and for all the right reasons.

Michael Sweet - I’m Not Your Suicide

Michael Sweet returns once more, with yet another solo album and gosh, isn’t this guy, busy... with multiple Stryper projects, just recently completed and behind him for the time being, he also found time to do an autobiography and also record a solo album and he’s also involved in a supergroup as well with a host of some other well-known musicians for “Frontiers” stable... jees.

Mad Max - Interceptor

I dunno what’s going on through Michael Voss’ mind, who’s agreeably a very talented musician, singer and producer, but he’s pretty much ended up like a load of people that end up, doing a gazillion of sessions here and there, for better or worse. He’s now been on a load of bands like Mad Max, Casanova, Biss, Wolfpack, Demon Drive, etc. and has made countless other smaller contributions. Obviously one has got to do, what one has got to do, in order to make ends meet and as long as the quality of music doesn’t suffer who am I to complain!
